Tui Shou Championships a success

On July 20, 2008 Grizzly Gym held it's first Tui Shou Championships in Kingston. Competitors came from Toronto and Montreal to compete in fixed step Push Hands. Thanks to Wudang International from Montreal who gave demonstrations during the opening ceremonies. A big "thank you" to the Canadian Chinese Kuo Shu Federation (CCKSF) for volunteering to referee and offering their tournament expertise.

Leslie Marshall was first place for the women's division; Travis Smith placed first in Men's 140-159LB division and Colin Knowles placed 2nd. Travis also won the Competitor of the Day Award. Congratulations everyone!!

Grizzly Gym Competes in Montreal

On Saturday, July 26, 2008, Grizzly Gym students, Nate Gallinger, Anthony Restuccia and Andrew Gilmour along with Mike Martelle competed in Gamma's no-gi tournament. Mike Martelle took gold in his division. Nate made a strong impression for his first tournament. It's great to see Grizzly Gym out there competing and gaining valuable competition experience. Great job everyone!
